United Theological College

United Theological College in Sydney is a key part of the Uniting Learning Network, a Uniting Church resourcing network across New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in Australia. UTC brings together in one college the work of teaching and research faculty, Uniting Mission & Education Resourcing Team, a Ministry Formation community, and Camden Theological Library. Staff work together to deliver an exciting and ground breaking approach to theological education, holding theory and practice together. The college provides theological and practical ministry education that is academically rigorous in all respects but widely accessible, that shapes people’s theological understanding while equipping them to contribute leadership in the realities of a changing Australia both in church and wider community.

UTC’s qualified educators cover key disciplines of Old Testament, New Testament, Theology, Church History, Practical Theology, Missiology, Ministry Practice, Worship, Spirituality and Pastoral Care. Consultants work in diverse fields across the church, including ministry with youth, children and families, religious education, mission development, multicultural ministry, leadership development, education for lay ministry, environmental ministry. Camden Theological Library provides resources to a wide range of people across Australia.

UTC is a partner with St Mark’s National Centre of Theology, Canberra, in the Charles Sturt University School of Theology. UTC is also part of a network of Uniting Church theological colleges across Australia: Trinity College Queensland, Uniting College of Theology and Leadership Adelaide, Pilgrim Theological College, Melbourne, Perth Theological Hall and Nungalinya College.
